Laura Plummer is a bilingual journalist and news analyst from Massachusetts. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in international affairs and Spanish from the University of New Hampshire, where her research centered largely on women in Latin America. After graduating, she worked for five years as a case manager serving some of Boston’s most vulnerable populations. She then obtained her teaching license and spent a number of years inside the classroom. Witnessing overburdened schools and social service agencies made her a more informed journalist, as well as an advocate for change.
